Clear answers to your questions

We clear up your doubts so you can focus on one thing: your recovery.

Are the costs covered by the RAMQ?

No. As a non-participating private clinic, consultation and surgery costs are borne by the patient. However, most private insurances reimburse a portion of the consultation or imaging costs, and surgical expenses are eligible for tax credits for medical expenses.

What are the deadlines for getting an appointment?

It is our major strength. We aim for an initial telephone contact in less than 24 hours and a consultation with the surgeon within 48 to 72 working hours. Surgery can usually be scheduled in the following weeks.

Do I need a referral from my family doctor?

No. In private practice, you have direct access to our specialists. You don't have to wait months for a reference ticket before calling us.

Do you practice the “anterior path” for the hip?

Yes, it is a key expertise of our team. This minimally invasive technique allows access to the joint without cutting the muscles, which considerably reduces post-operative pain and often makes it possible to walk the same day as the procedure.

Is surgery the only option offered?

Absolutely not. We favour an ethical approach. If your condition can be treated with injections (cortisone, viscosupplement), physiotherapy, or medication, we will recommend it to you before considering scalpels.

How is the recovery going for shoulder surgery?

Thanks to our arthroscopy techniques (camera), the incisions are minimal. Although rehabilitation requires patience, our pain management protocols and close follow-up make it much easier to return to your daily activities and sports.

Do I have to have an MRI or an X-ray before coming?

It is ideal, but it is not mandatory. If you already have images (CD or report), bring them in. Otherwise, we can perform x-rays on site or prescribe an MRI quickly via our partners to complete the diagnosis.

Will I always see the same doctor?

Yes Unlike the public system where stakeholders change, the surgeon you meet during the first evaluation is the one who will operate on you and who will ensure your post-operative follow-up. It is a guarantee of security and trust.

Do you treat severe knee osteoarthritis?

Yes We offer complete solutions for osteoarthritis, ranging from relieving injections to partial or total knee replacement (prosthesis), always with high-quality implants to ensure maximum durability.

Where do consultations and surgeries take place?

Everything takes place in our modern environment in Town of Mount Royal. You thus avoid the complexity of large hospitals and enjoy a calm, safe and easily accessible environment (parking available).

Do you have a specific question about your case?

Our administrative team is available to listen to you and validate if our approach corresponds to your needs.
